Michael Roark, Founder
Michael Roark founded FiberMedia and serves on its Board of Directors. Michael also founded Telesource and M K Roark — companies that provide design, construction, development and provisioning of mission critical facilities and telecom infrastructures with a specialization in data centers. Since 1983, Michael’s design / build / development firms have constructed over six hundred projects, including industrial and medical facilities, general and mixed-use buildings, commercial offices, and public works projects. Michael was a pioneer in the development of multi-tenant technology centers and has served as a principal and developer in the creation of numerous, diverse and substantive projects.
Michael Bucheit, Chief Executive Officer
Michael Bucheit has over 15 years of experience in technology management and financing. Prior to joining FiberMedia, Michael was responsible for corporate development as well as C-Labs at Consonus Technologies, a leading multi-regional data center provider. Michael also built and managed a $70MM IT services business for GE Capital serving Fortune 1000 clients. He also held senior positions in technology investment banking with WR Hambrecht and Citicorp. Michael holds a M.B.A. degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, where he was an Austrian Government Scholar and a B.A. in Management with honors from Webster University, Vienna (Austria).
Robert Doherty, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer
Robert Doherty has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance. Most recently, Mr. Doherty was a Partner at Redwood Capital, a boutique investment banking firm focused on the telecom, media and technology sectors. In addition to holding senior investment banking positions at other firms such as Citigroup, PaineWebber and Jefferies, Robert also previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Metromedia Fiber Network (now known as Abovenet). Robert holds an M.B.A. degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
John Panzica, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing
John Panzica has over 15 years experience building companies and business units in the financial services, telecommunications and data center industries. Prior to joining FiberMedia, Mr. Panzica was the Founder and Vice President for the financial services practice at Switch and Data Facilities Management Company where he ran sales and marketing. Through his leadership, Mr. Panzica successfully created a recognized brand and corresponding sales force catering to the low latency proximity trading community in New York and Toronto. Prior to Switch and Data, Mr. Panzica was the General Manager Global Financial Markets at Reliance Globalcom where he built the industry’s first Ethernet based financial extranet totaling over $36M in sales. In 2007, Mr. Panzica received the prestigious Banker Technology Innovative Product Award and was recognized by Light Reading for the Best New Service from a private company. He has been both published and quoted in industry publications such as Advanced Trading, Inside Market Data and Buy Side Magazine.
Christopher Baldwin, Senior Vice President, Operations and Engineering
Christopher Baldwin has over 15 years of experience in engineering and building data centers throughout North America. Most recently, Mr. Baldwin was the Director of Mission Critical Project Management at LEDCOR Group where he led project teams building mission critical data centers. Prior to LEDCOR he was Director of Construction at Equinix Inc., an international data center company focused on colocation and enterprise services in the colocation, enterprise and technology sectors. Mr. Baldwin also previously served as Director of Facility Engineering and Construction at Switch & Data which was recently acquired by Equinix. Mr. Baldwin holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and Architecture from Norwich University.
Mohit Manchanda, Managing Director – Services
Mohit has over 20 years experience in the IT and Financial Services industries. He is focused on building a next generation cloud & IaaS platform and expanding the managed services client base for FiberMedia. Prior to joining FiberMedia, he built and managed a data center practice for a premier offshore IT Services provider where he was instrumental in creating a utility computing model leading to rapid market expansion for application hosting services. Mohit worked at a multinational Australian bank for 8 years where he headed the IT support function bringing real world end-user experience to the IT service delivery team. He holds a Masters (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
